PLAN THE PROJECT AROUND ITS PURPOSE

What to consider first.

Start with the largest thing that must move through the door, then plan the clear working area around it. Future equipment often justifies additional height, power or floor capacity.

Largest equipment or vehicle
Overhead door size
Lift and ceiling clearance
Power and lighting
Workbenches and storage

TURNKEY BUILDING PACKAGES

From dirt work
to finished structure.

Sitework, concrete, erection, electrical, insulation and finishing can be coordinated where agreed for the project. The written proposal defines inclusions and exclusions.

MAKE THE IMPORTANT CHOICES EARLY

Design decisions that matter.

01

Door clearance

Measure the tallest and widest item that must pass through, including attachments. Keep room outside for the approach.

02

Working room

Separate parked equipment from benches, storage and active work. A full floor can leave too little space to use it.

03

Power and comfort

List equipment and hours of use before coordinating electrical, lighting, insulation and ventilation.

PROJECT QUESTIONS

Before you request a quote.

What should I bring for a shop estimate?+

Bring the site address, equipment list, approximate footprint, door openings and a sketch of work and storage zones. Include any lift or specialty equipment information.

How do I choose overhead-door sizes?+

Use the largest vehicle or equipment, including attachments, as the starting point. Review both the clear opening and the approach with the team before finalizing dimensions.

Can the shop package include the slab, electrical and insulation?+

Those scopes can be included when agreed for the project. Equipment use and the engineered design guide foundation coordination; the written proposal defines the included work.

Can I plan for an office or future expansion?+

Yes. Identify those goals early so access, interior zones and future connections can be reviewed with the proposed building. Feasibility depends on the site and design.
